with the marathon,road racing,and crss-country winding down it's time to sharpen up with some strides after every other run of about 100m and do some short track or fartlek work not running longer than 45 sec. repeating at least 6x. i suggest 3-5 day;s of no running to let the body re-build and then start your mile base training to prepare for late winter and early spring races. work on flexibilty over the winter with core training and upper body weight training.
